AUDITION PROCESS:
- SIGN-UP If you have signed up for the Advanced Drama Enrichment, then you WILL be cast in the show. CluedIN - Murder on the Neuse, is only for those who have signed up for the Advanced Acting Enrichment. (Space is limited, TUITION is $150 per actor)
- READ the Audition Packet which includes rules and requirements with your parent or guardian in its entirety.
- REVIEW the characters and their synopsis on the linked sides. Choose your top 3 characters. You will be asked this in auditions.
- REHEARSE the sides. (During auditions, students will be allowed to have their scripts in hand. It is required that each student has a copy of the sides at auditions, the auditioning panel may ask actors to read for various characters, even ones that the actor has not listed in their top 3.)
- ATTEND auditions will be held, Thursday August 28th from 3:30-5pm. (If a student is unable to attend the audition, please record yourself performing your choice character and send to Ms. Jacky by Thursday night OR make other arrangements with Ms. Jacky.)
- CASTING everyone auditioning will have a part. Some parts are larger than others. However, everyone will have adequate stage time. Cast list will be posted Friday 8/29.
- FIRST REHEARSAL September 5th , 8:30 am-11:30pm at Hope Campus (A snack and water bottle is recommended to bring to each rehearsal)
- PERFORMANCES will be November 6, 7, 8 at the Fuquay Arts Center, with a mandatory dress rehearsal November 5th.
Play Synopsis:
CluedIN - Murder on the Neuse is a comical whodunnit sequel to CluedIN. However, no need to have seen the first show, because this show will be completely different from the first one ... but exactly the same.
Join returning faces such as Father Green, Colonel Dijon, and Mrs. Peach, along with newcomers such as Dr. White and Lady Lavender on a weekend cruise sailing down the Neuse river, aboard the S.S. Knot Again, all guests of Duke Deadmoore. Each guest invited has a secret past and all hope to inherit the duke's millions. The plot thickens when the Duke makes a shocking announcement and ends up dead. Who could have committed the murder? The audience will follow along and play the game, each competing to solve the case and win a gift card.
